Brazil & Cross-Border

Brazil combines a developed domestic capital market with real assets that attract foreign capital, and it requires a local reading of regulation, tax and foreign exchange.

Our view

Fortevere connects investors and companies between Brazil and North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. It combines a presence in São Paulo and Amsterdam with a network of relationships in those markets, in both directions: capital coming into Brazil and Brazilian companies seeking investors, partners or markets abroad.

The Mercosur–European Union partnership agreement, signed in January 2026, changes tariff schedules, rules of origin and access to public procurement. For companies and investors, the practical effect depends on the sector and the implementation timetable, which we follow in our publications.

Themes we follow

  • Foreign capital in Brazilian credit and assets
  • International expansion of Brazilian companies
  • Mercosur–European Union agreement
  • Cross-border structures and currency risk
  • Co-investment with Gulf and Asian family offices
